Red's pitcher Mike Leake is a fiscally responsible individual. He may have signed $2 million-plus signing bonus in 2009 and make about half a million a year, but he knows the value of a dollar, which explains why he decided to walk out of a Cincinnati Macy's with six American Rag t-shirts without paying for them, saving the Reds' righty about $60 in clothing cost [quick math, yes that's $10 a shirt]. However, mall cops and Cincinnati cops didn't like Leake's money saving technique and arrested him for shoplifting. But American Rag, grateful in the boost in exposure, wanted to thank Leake for going to such great lengths just to wear their clothes. So they inked him to an endorsement deal, which should help cover some of his legal fees.
