Lost amongst the Cowboys slaughtering at the hands of the Packers (and Wade Phillip’s subsequent firing) was an intriguing tale from the Ravens/Dolphins game.
During a post game interview, Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder accused Ravens’ fullback Le’Ron McLain of spitting in his face. While somewhat disgusting and a sure fire way to spread germs, this is none too surprising. Hell, after you hear repeated tales of a player grabbing another dude’s junk, Roberto Alomar-ing an opposing player loses some shock value.
The interesting part is that Crowder, in an attempt to compare the refs to some of history’s famous blind people, invoked the names of Stevie Wonder and Anne Frank, who you may remember from the Diary of Anne Frank as the young, and apparently vision impaired, Jewish girl who bravely hid from the Nazis during WW II. When asked to elaborate on his revisionist history lesson, Crowder corrected himself, saying he meant "the blind girl...
