KANSAS CITY - With NFL Kickoff 2010 just around the corner, the Kansas City Chiefs have issued a statement that they are thrilled with their current regular season record. "The current 0-0 is as good as it gets," said Chiefs offensive coordinator Charlie Weis. "I know I couldn't be happier to be sitting at .500 and not being on every freaking TV channel on Saturday, being closely scrutinized over every jelly donut I eat." The owners of the team, the Hunt family, couldn't agree more. "If ever there was a moment for Kansas City to honor these fine, young Chiefs players, it's now," said chairman Clark Hunt. "That's why we're going to have a parade on Saturday. To honor them at the pinnacle of their success. The city didn't do that for the Royals (MLB team) and look how they turned out. We'll have all the greats there. We'll have Len Dawson and maybe Marcus Allen and uh Derrick Thomas and oh, of course Joe Montana! And.... maybe Joe Montana could bring one of his friends like Steve Young or Jerry Rice or what's Tom Brady doing? I better talk to Cassel."
