MLB's New Freak Injury Prevention PosterAfter receiving harsh criticism for how it handled the safety of players who suffered head injuries, the NFL implemented a new policy on how to handle concussions earlier this fall. The league issued a new poster, displayed prominently in every locker room, detailing the dangers of concussions in harsh language. Rather than waiting for similar backlash, MLB has been proactive about dealing with its player safety issue: freak injuries. From bad sneezes to walk-off pie celebrations, several MLB players suffered strange injuries this season. To prevent future injuries, though, Bud Selig has made it so the following poster wlll be displayed in every major league clubhouse next season.
