Death Cab For Cutie hasn't released an album in over a year, Ichiro hasn't been good the past two and Seattle hasn't had a winning season in three. Now with Ichiro jettisoned from the Pacific Northwest after a decade, these factors have coalesced and driven Death Cab front man, Washington native and Mariners fan Ben Gibbard to release the above ballad--though Gibbard said he wrote it "years ago," which is painfully obvious because no Mariners fan would  have recently composed anything so upbeat or that includes the line "The M's are gonna win it every time."
