NASHVILLE—Jeff Fisher’s 16-seaon reign of terror came to a violent end as the Tennessee Titans deposed the autocrat in one of the bloodiest coups in NFL history. The uprising began soon after Fisher, who was drunk on power after eliminating key political rival Vince Young, attempted to install his son, Brandon, as the Titans offensive coordinator, thus giving the elder Fisher de facto rule over both sides of the ball.
“The blood of the tyrants will flow like the barrels of oil that founded this proud franchise!” screamed rebel leader Bud Adams as he marched into LP Field flanked by tanks on both side. An exact death toll has yet to be determined, but it is suspected that many of Fisher’s top aides and ballboys were executed. There has been no official announcement whether Fisher is dead or alive, but rumors have been circulating that he escaped the bloodshed by hiding in the dreadlocks of Chris Johnson.
