ATLANTA — Atlanta Falcons team president Rich McKay says he and owner Arthur Blank would like to move the team outdoors. “Football’s a game that should be played outside,” said McKay “looking for stadium locations, there’s a great one about 2,200 miles west of here we’re really interested in.” McKay was speaking of the Los Angeles Coliseum, former home of the Los Angeles Raiders and current home field of the USC Trojans, but he remained adamant that the team would not be relocated to Los Angeles. “No this would still be the Atlanta Falcons, we would just play our games in Los Angeles. We will always represent the city of Atlanta no matter where we play.” McKay also added that the move outside would not cost they city of Atlanta a dime. “Los Angeles will pay for the move outdoors,” said McKay. “That’s how much we care about the great city of Atlanta. We don’t want the people of this city to bear the financial burden of the cost of an outdoor stadium. When you think about this, it’s a win-win for everyone in Atlanta, but especially for and Arthur and me.”
