Reds/Cards brawl gives Dusty Baker the opportunity to...ST. LOUIS - Cincinnati Reds manager Dusty Baker is relieved after yesterday's bench-clearing brawl against the St. Louis Cardinals afforded him the chance to mess up a few of his pitchers' arms. Baker was starting to fall behind in ruining his pitchers' arms this year due to winning more games than usual. Luckily, he was able to sneak in a few punches thanks to the brawl yesterday. "I was in there, just kicking the crap out of a bunch of Cards with my cleats," said Reds pitcher Johnny Cueto. "Next thing you know, I feel this massive charlie horse on my pitching arm. My whole arm just goes dead. And I turn around and see Dusty standing there with his fist clenched and this massive sh*t-eating grin on his face. Then he grabs a ball and chucks right at the guys in the bullpen. Nails one guy in the elbow. Then he went after the rest of them like a madman." Baker responded to these accusations by stating that it's how he's always run his team. "You've got toughen these guys up. Pitchers these days are sissies. When I went running at the bullpen Last of the Mohegans-style –just chucking whatever I could find at them– I put the fear of God in 'em. I've got five Tommy John surgeries schedules for next week. I say, let's get it over with and out of the way."
