Earlier this morning, Hardball Talk’s Craig Calcaterra wrote about his favorite of several Ryan Howard final NLCS strikeout photos. Howard, who was frozen on a nasty breaking ball from Giants closer Brian Wilson to end the NLCS, appears to be quite sad in the photograph. As such, Craig entitled the post Sad Ryan Howard.

Here was the photo.

After posting the photo, Craig wrote that he sensed a “Sad Keanu”-style meme with the Howard photo. He finished with the following line.

I have no skills to speak of, but Ryan Howard is begging to be Photoshopped everywhere, standing impassively as great wonderment and celebration surround him.
