Sanchez, Henne anxious
MEADOWLANDS — Rookie quarterbacks Mark Sanchez and Chad Henne were uncharacteristically anxious for Sunday’s rematch at Friday’s press conferences. “Sanchez’s palms were really sweaty and he kept stuttering,” said AP reporter Tom Grey. “Just fielding basic questions, he was really flustered.” Henne didn’t look any better according to Miami Herald beat reporter Cindy Jacobs. “Henne kept licking his lips and looking at his watch,” Jacobs said. “It was kind of gross.” Both reporters still filed articles about the great poise of the quarterbacks but couldn’t help but wonder aloud if maybe the claims of greatness they continue to make are a bit premature. “I think Sanchez just wet himself,” said Grey, disgustedly as he doodled the word “poise” in his notebook.
