Roy Williams: Rodeo Clown

Roy E. Williams loves to talk. However, he really has a hard time catching passes, running routes and living up to the lofty expectations bestowed upon him coming out of the University of Texas. In Detroit, Williams could point the finger at anyone and people could buy it because they sucked. One man in particular bought it—Jerry Jones—and forked over way too much to the Lions for this guy.

But Roy's yet to do squat on the Cowboys and, like JaMarcus Russell, I think almost everyone in the world is ready to give up on him. Except Roy E. Williams himself.

He claims "this isn't his first rodeo," and that there "ain't no such thing as him sitting on the bench."

Well, Roy, I think Jerrah and Wade are going to have some surprising news for you come September, that is if you're still on the team. You will get to meet the bench, and make very good friends with it.

It was obvious towards the end of last season Roy was maybe, MAYBE the fourth-best wide receiver on the team behind Miles Austin, Kevin Ogletree and Patrick Crayton. You could make a case that Sam Hurd was better than him too. And don't forget tight ends Jason Witten and Martellus Bennett along with Felix Jones out of the backfield.

Adding Dez Bryant to the mix should be the writing on the wall for this rodeo clown. If Dez can get it together to be at least Dallas' next Sam Hurd, then Roy won't just get the bench. He'll get the horns too.
