Ron Artest’s PR advisor commits suicide, leaves note reading “Queensbridge”
LOS ANGELES — Ron Artest’s PR advisor Ken Wilkens was found dead in his Beverly Hills home early Friday morning. Police are stating he committed suicide, having left a note pinned to his shirt which simply read “Queensbridge.” “He just couldn’t take it any more,” said Wilkens girlfriend Samantha Carson. “After he watched Artest’s horrible interview with Craig Sager, he just hit a new low. He said he was going home and that’s the last I heard from him.” Artest hit the game-winning shot as the clock expired in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals versus the Phoenix Suns. Artest then rambled about “playing defense” when asked why he made a three-point attempt with lead when the Lakers could have nearly run the clock out, then made Sager repeat him as he gave a shout-out to his neighborhood in Queens. “That was the last straw for Ken I guess,” said Carson. “After all the Hennessy drinking during halftime, fights with fans, and weird-ass haircuts, he just couldn’t take any more.” Artest was approached for comment, “you know what a really funny word is? Ladel. Say it with me layyyyydelllllll. Man that is one wacky word.”
