Raiders improve Turner's reputation
SAN DIEGO — The Oakland Raiders fell to the San Diego Chargers for the second time this season, accounting for half the Chargers’ wins, and the total reason Norv Turner still remains head coach. Since taking over in San Diego in 2007, guaranteed wins over Oakland have inflated both the Chargers’ record and the coach’s worth. “Each season I’ve been a couple wins from the hot seat, but I’m never worried because we can always get a couple wins against the Raiders,” said Turner, “If you think about it, without the Raiders on our schedule twice a year, we’d be a .500 team.” Turner noted he hopes the Raiders can turn it around and make the playoffs so the Chargers can have a chance in the post season.
