NIT Champion to be declared then promptly ignored
NEW YORK - The NIT Championship is scheduled to be played tonight in Madison Square Garden. It should an exciting matchup pitting the University of Dayton against last year's NCAA champion, the University of North Carolina. Both teams have said they are looking forward to forgetting this whole tournament ever happened on Friday morning. "I think we'll be able to put the NIT behind us, said UNC coach Roy Williams. "You can't give press box seats away, even to the general public. And most New Yorkers think it's just another sh*tty Knicks' game. They're not even making UNC or Dayton specific championship T-shirts or hats. They just put every team on there. But its last year's NIT teams. Homeless, catastrophe-stricken third world country citizens sent them back. Where did they find the time to do that? You want to talk catastrophe though, I'll talk catastrophe. I should have taken that St. John's job."
