The Carmelo Anthony trade talks continue and it seems everyday that there’s a new wrinkle to the trade or some excuse for it not happening at all. While New Jersey seems to be the most likely new home for ‘Melo, the trade has been nixed for several reasons—one day it’s because the Nets won’t take Al Harrington, the next day is because the Nets won’t give up Derrick Favors. The only thing that seems definite is that next season Anthony will be a Knick, and whoever gets him in this trade will be merely renting him for the next few months, which is why the Nuggets made this commercial in hopes of getting some value for ‘Melo before he pulls a Lebron, bolts for another team and leaves Denver with nothing.
