Matt Leinart Has A Little Captain Checkdown In Him

Matt Leinart, expected to be the Arizona Cardinals' starting quarterback going into training camp, was recently demoted in place of the mediocre Derek Anderson. The reason for the switch was Leinart's poor showing in the Cardinals' first two pre-season games, in which he earned the nickname "Captain Checkdown" for throwing too many short, dump-style passes . Based on his stats, he really does have a little Captain in him, just like Trent Edwards of the Buffallo Bills. Unfortunately for Arizona fans, though, it is the wrong kind of Captain, and Anderson sucks, too. Where have you gone, Kurt Warner?
