LenDale White says Chris Johnson should have taken a knee after every nine-yard gain
SEATTLE — New Seattle Seahawks running back LenDale White blames his former team’s 8-8 record in 2009 on Chris Johnson. “When I was getting carries in 2008 we were 13-3,” said White of his time with the Tennessee Titans. “Chris was busting 50-plus yard touchdown runs all the time. It would have been better for us to play ball control offense with me getting 2.5 yards a carry.” When White was asked what Johnson is supposed to do if no one can tackle him White responded, “Take a knee. Go ahead, gain nine yards on first, take a knee. Let me get two downs with no gain and then throw a swing pass to Chris to get the first down. Boom. 13-3 record at least.” White is excited to be on a team with crap running backs like Julius Jones and Justin Forsett so he can get more carries. “That’s going to lead to wins,” said White.
