GREENWICH, CT — While the world watched ESPN’s live coverage of LeBron James’ The Decision Thursday night, James’ mother Gloria James made an announcement of her own on ESPN2. “After much deliberation and consideration, I am going to stay in Cleveland with my lover Delonte West,” said Gloria James. The announcement came on a little-publicized special program entiled A Mother’s Decision, hosted by Hannah Storm, and a roundtable of experts from The View. While rumors have spread that Gloria James had an affair with West, and that the affair may have had something to do with LeBron’s slump in the 2010 playoff series versus the Boston Celtics, she has always adamantly denied it. “Now that my boy is going to Miami, I had a decision to make,” said Gloria James. “I mean I love my son, but I need me some Delonte.” James also admitted to encouraging LeBron to leave Cleveland. “Ever since Delonte and I started to hook up, we needed space,” said James. “Yes I encouraged LeBron to leave. It was awkward having to wake up the next morning and fix both of them eggs. Especially if Delonte and I were still feeling frisky from the night before.”
