Kurt Warner wants Saints to know that Jesus is not on America's team
ARIZONA - Phoenix Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner has heard it all. He knows that sports journalists everywhere have declared over and over again that the New Orleans Saints are "America's team." But Warner wants them to know that America's team does not have Jesus on it. He's playing center for the Cardinals. "Jesus hikes me the ball every play," says Warner. "And he's so good. I'd throw it to him every time if I could. Let him run it. Uncle Sam would never be able to tackle him." When asked if Jesus could also play for other teams, Warner shook his head no. "He played for the Rams once but he's on the Cards now. There's no way Jesus could be on the Saints. Have you heard the grammar coming out of the their fans' mouths? 'Who dat? Who dat? Who dat say dey gonna beat dem Saints?' I know who will beat them. Jesus and the King's English."
