Indy schools start two hours late so fans can finish crying
INDIANAPOLIS — The city-mandated two-hour delay for Indianapolis public schools was in effect Monday. The delay was in anticipation for the late night celebrations after a Colts Super Bowl victory, however the Colts lost. “We’re still recovering from the loss,” said Indianapolis superintendent Duncan Pritchett, Jr. “Kids are still wiping the tears from their eyes. I don’t know if it will be a very productive day today.” Pritchett said that schools have specially staffed up in light of the Colts loss. “We have grief counselors at every school today. If you need to talk to someone about Peyton’s horrible interception, please come to the teacher’s lounge. Someone there will be able to talk you through the pain.” Cold compresses for swollen tear ducts will also be provided.
