Howard gets new contract from Philly thanks to agent Jared Fogle
PHILADELPHIA — All-powerful Subway icon and Ryan Howard agent Jared Fogle announced today that the Philadelphia Phillies have agreed to a five-year $125 million dollar contract extension. “My client deserves $25 million a year because he eats fresh,” said Fogle, with a mouth full of Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki. “I mean look at him. He’s lost 25 pounds because he eats a Veggie Delite for lunch, and a Black Forest Ham for dinner. You don’t want to lose a guy with that kind of dedication.” Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro, Jr. said with Fogle being Howard’s agent he didn’t have much choice. “Fogle rules the world,” said Amaro. “You don’t go against him. I’ve seen other people do it and it’s not pretty. We’ll get by with Howard for the next five years. It’ll be fine.”
