Hanley Ramirez's Hair-Dye Fail

It’s been a few months since HanleyGate, when Florida Marlins shortstop Hanley Ramirez was benched for lollygagging after a ball in the outfield. And a lot has changed since then. Then-Marlins manager Fredi Gonzalez was given his walking papers and Ramirez has put the controversy in the rear view mirror. Indeed, though his numbers are down a bit from last season, the 26-year-old shortstop is still hitting .293/.371/.456 with 16 home runs and 26 stolen bases. Excellent output for his position.

Ramirez seems to be happier, too, evident by his recent decision to dye his hair blond. As Joe Capozzi writes, though, his attempt to go to blond did not pan out as planned. You see, his hair ended up…red?

Ramirez is definitely one of the best infielders in baseball, but, as the video illustrates, his hair-dying skills could use some work.
