Gilbert's $100,000 Check To The NBA

NBA commissioner David Stern fined Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert $100,000 for his crazy letter addressed to Cavs fans last week. Hilariously using Comic Sans as his font of choice, Gilbert went off on LeBron James for announcing his decision to sign with the Miami Heat during a one-hour special on ESPN. He then took it a step further talking about The Decision with reporters, accusing James of quitting on Cleveland during the playoffs. Stern felt that the comments were inappropriate and handed down a swift punishment. Tauntr.com was lucky enough to be sent a photo of the check Gilbert sent to the NBA offices this morning. As is consistent with most of Gilbert’s public statements released on the Cavaliers’ website, the check was written in Comic Sans.
