Evidently you need a head coach to win a Super Bowl
MIAMI — The Indianapolis Colts came up 14 points short in Super Bowl XLIV, proving once and for all you actually need a head coach to win a Super Bowl. “We tried it this year without a head coach,” said Colts president Bill Polian. “We thought Peyton could get it done on his own, but you saw it tonight, Sean Payton actually made some coaching calls that we didn’t, because we don’t have a head coach.” Peyton Manning agreed with Polian. “We had Tony [Dungy] on the phone trying to call in some defensive plays, but it just wasn’t enough,” said Manning. “There was this guy who kept getting on the radio from the sideline, and tried to give a halftime speech, I’ve seen him a few times this year, but he’s not a head coach. We need someone like Bill Cowher.”
