Colts homecoming poorly attended, weather was not fair for fans
INDIANAPOLIS - The AFC champion Indianapolis Colts flew back to Indianapolis after their Super Bowl loss and were greeted by eleven cheering and appreciative fans at the Indianapolis International Airport. That's one fan to every man on the field. The weather on Monday afternoon was cold, a little snowy and loser-y. It was not fair weather for the fans. "I think that's what kept a lot of people at home," said quarterback Peyton Manning. "Crappy weather. Snowy, windy, cold and we didn't win. Fans would be more apt to cheer us on if the conditions were the complete opposite of that." One fan that came out stated that because of work, he never even knew the Colts had lost. "I never saw the game, I was working late on Super Bowl Sunday. I just assumed they won," said Taylor Shissey. "I didn't find out the score till I got here. I clapped for few minutes and then led everyone in a "Fire Caldwell" chant....Yea, the weather sucks."
