Cincinnati prepares to lose coach Brian Kelly
CINCINNATI - Notre Dame on Thursday announced the signing of University of Cincinnati head coach Brian Kelly to a five-year contract. Kelly, who led the Bearcats to a perfect 12-0 regular season, informed his current players at a banquet last evening; a food fight of Kelly versus everyone immediately followed. Notre Dame officials have said that they are fairly confident Kelly can "turn Notre Dame around" and Kelly is pretty sure that Notre Dame will turn his winning record around. "It's been my dream as a boy," said Kelly in a conference call with reporters. "To play for a major university. To have the chance to disappoint expectations while making a lot of money. Every coach is just dying for a chance to go on NBC every Saturday and lose horribly. I'm that coach now."
