Charlie Weis' knee says 'screw this,' gets the f off his body
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Charlie Weis’ veteran left knee has suddenly quit his body, leaving Weis unannounced. Weis was seen riding in a motorized scooter around the Kansas City’s practice field Monday. “I woke up this morning and my knee was gone,” said Weis. “No note, no warning, nothing. Knee just up and left.” Weis’ doctor Kevin Manuel said he isn’t surprised. “After fifty-plus years of bearing over 200 pounds of excess weight, I would be fed up too,” said Manuel. “I have told Weis for years he needed to lose weight or his body would declare mutiny. Looks like that time has come.” Knee’s agent Drew Rosenhaus said he has heard from his client. “Knee has made a statement,” said Rosenhaus. “To coach Weis he says ‘screw this, I’m getting the f off your body.’” Rosenhaus also said the knee, which is strong and remains in good condition is in negotiations with other notable NFL coaches and personalities. “Knee is a front runner to join Tony Dungy’s roster of body parts. Chris Berman has dropped from contention since he can’t stay on the Nutrisystem. John Gruden is also in the bidding war on knee.”
