Chargers make international symbol for 'We're going to watch the Super Bowl on our couch'
SAN DIEGO - In the fourth quarter of the AFC playoff game, San Diego Chargers players began placing their hands around their throats and to give the international symbol for 'Let's just give up, go home and watch the Super Bowl from the couch' to the world. Quarterback Philip Rivers started signaling the famous international symbol after he watched running back LaDanian Tomlinson just chilin' behind the line of scrimmage. "LT looked so relaxed. I realized it wasn't worth the effort to go forward. I have a 72-inch HDTV and all the bean dip I can handle in my refinished basement. I can't enjoy that at the Super Bowl," said Rivers. "I think our fans will support us. They signaled back the North American symbol for 'message heard loud and clear' by raising their digitus tertius up high in the middle of their hand. So, they understand."
