Bowden upset no one let him die on the field

TALLAHASSEE - Retired Florida State Seminoles football coach Bobby Bowden is angry at the way he was forced into retirement and not allowed to die on the field while coaching the game he loved like he says he was promised. Bowden is set to release a tell-all book on his legendary coaching experience and plans to talk about the "lifetime" contract that he says he signed at Florida State. "I didn't sign up to coach until I retired," said Bowden. "I signed up to coach until the day I die. Just like I'm going to drive until the day I die. No bowl game losses or macular degeneration is gonna slow me down. This is Florida. This is my state. Where I choose to go out the way I want to. I want to die in my sleep during a Clemson game.  I want to  be killed in a Miami University drive-by. I want to suffer a massive coronary at the Kotex Maxipad Hellman's Mayonnaise Bowl. And then you can prop my body up, put some sunglasses on me and let me finish watching the game. Maybe put on some tunes... I have seen Weekend at Bernie's, I know how this works. That will also be in my book, Called to Coach: Reflections on Life, Faith and Football. Chapter three: Weekend at Bernie's is the Sh*t. Look for it in stores."
