Bills to change name to Boneless Chicken Tenders in attempt to hire Weis
BUFFALO — The Buffalo Bills have announced a new name for the upcoming 2010 season. “The Buffalo Bills are now the Buffalo Boneless Chicken Tenders,” announced Boneless Chicken Tenders general manager Russ Brandon. The name change is an attempt to lure Charlie Weis to the team. “Weis is very interested in our head coaching position,” said Brandon. During a recent lunch meeting with ex-head coach of Notre Dame, Brandon said he noted the coach’s fondness for buffalo wings. “He had a few orders, I lost track how many, but I knew after than lunch we had to leverage his love for buffalo chicken.” The new name also comes with a new logo and uniforms. “Home jerseys are a zesty red chipotle, with honey mustard yellow trim,” said Brandon. Applebees and Buffalo Wild Wings are rumored to be in a bidding war for naming rights of Ralph Wilson Stadium.
