Big Ben gets reduced suspension because no one likes any of Dennis Dixon's nicknames
PITTSBURGH - Roger Goodell has shown mercy on Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben "Big Ben" Roethisberger by reducing his suspension from six games to four. Goodell said that Roethisberger's good behavior is one of many factors in his decision but the most important factor was Dennis Dixon's current nicknames were just god-awful horrible. "They were just filthy, unprintable nicknames," said Goodell. "Made up of words... words I can barely think, let alone whisper into your ear at bowling alley. We can't have our analysts talking about a quarterback like that. It was my call and I had to make it. Especially now that Byron Leftwich might be out. We've got to get Big Ben back in there. Oh.... lord. I can't even take Ben's nickname and apply it to Dennis Dixon without feeling queasy. Big Di– Oh, I can't do it. Not after that day in the Steelers locker room where we went around in a circle and everyone just fired one off right after another. It started to sound like one long letter to Penthouse forum after awhile. I am forever scarred."
