Bengals sign Bryant, court Mark Chmura, Rae Carruth
CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Bengals have never been more serious about building the team around troubled players than this off-season. Case in point, the Bengals signed troublemaking wide receiver Antonio Bryant yesterday and have already worked out defensive back Adam “Pacman” Jones who was out of the league in 2009. “We’re also courting Mark Chmura and Rae Carruth,” said owner Mike Brown. “We are going to be the best group of ex-cons and social outcasts in the NFL.” Brown noted the team’s fame in prisons. “Prison population is exploding,” Brown said. “And prisoners love their Bengals, mostly because they’ve made love to half the team. I want to get to a point where they’ve made love to the entire team.”
