Alabama family can't hear Nick Saban tell them the dangers of agents over sweet bass coming from free Escalade
GADSDEN, AL — Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban sat with top wide receiver recruit TaShawn Williams’ family inside their cramped, single wide trailer that sits less than ten feet from busy train tracks to tell them the dangers of agents. He mentioned the harm that agents can do to a perfect season, one that is very possible on Saban’s powerhouse team. He gave the example of Reggie Bush and how his Heisman trophy and National Championship have been tarnished forever. Saban called agents “pimps” and warned Williams of becoming a “whore.” The Williams’ are a church-going family, and Saban mentioned the example Williams will be setting for children and the judgment he could face from his heavenly father. He said all of this, but none of it was heard because the Williams’ family were cranking up the bass in the new Cadillac Escalade that was left for them the night before. “We couldn’t hear a damn thing coach was sayin,’” said Williams’ mother LaShawnda. “I think it was something about how great TaShawn is going to be and that he’ll probably win the Heisman or something. This is the best day of our lives. First the Escalade then coach comes out to say hi.” Williams also said she only goes to church for air conditioning.
