Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals didn’t go too well for the Boston Celtics. Not only did the previously thought-for-dead Orlando Magic defeat the Celtics in convincing fashion, Kendrick Perkins was handed down one of the more ridiculous technical fouls in recent memory and several of the team’s bench players were physically bruised up.

The most concerning injury, though, was the concussion sustained by Glen “Big Baby” Davis, who was drilled with a Dwight Howard elbow to the face. After the game, Celtics coach Doc Rivers was unsure whether or not Davis would be ready to go for Game 6. Rivers told reporters that his reserve "blacked out” and would have his head examined by doctors. He even provided some humor on the situation, taking a good-natured jab at Big Baby.

"I don't know what kind of tests they're going to do with Baby. He's a little delirious anyway," Rivers said, chuckling.

Well, after undergoing a series of tests, including a cat scan, Davis will in fact suit up tonight. As Kurt Helin of Pro Basketball Talk writes, his headaches are under control as of Thursday afternoon and Rivers thinks his goofy big man will be fine.

Glen "Big Baby" Davis, who suffered a concussion when hit with an inadvertent Dwight Howard elbow, looks good and ready to go, Rivers said. While Davis had headaches last night those have subsided, he said.

"Big baby looks good. He was talking and looks fine," Rivers said, adding that he has a couple more tests to go and is officially a game time decision.
