‘Vince Young is a quick learner’ says Ryan Leaf

DALLAS — Tennesse Titans quarterback Vince Young received a citation for punching a man at a Dallas area strip club for giving an upside-down “Hook ‘Em Horns” gesture. The highly-touted Universty of Texas star has had an up-and-down NFL career, riddled with personal problems and lack of effort on the team. “He’s a real quick learner,” said former NFL quarterback bust Ryan Leaf. “I think he realized from day one the best thing to get himself kicked of the league in a couple years is to be a head case, like me,” said Leaf. “He had all those mental issues a couple years ago, then had this comeback year last year…people are willing to give him a bunch more money now.” Leaf thinks Young is ultimately better at self-destructing than he was. “I blew it way too quickly,” he said. “Sure I hated the game of football since I was a kid. But I could’ve pretended I liked it for just a couple more years and milked so much more money out of the Chargers. And they wouldn’t have drafted Drew Brees. That would have been hilarious.” Leaf insists Young is doing it the right way. “A few more fights here and there, throw in some drinking, drugs, skipped practices…as long as he spaces it out he can phone it in and still make bank, all the while dragging the Titans to nowhere. If he does it right, he’ll go down in my book as the best ever.”
