Kids are hopeful by nature. Even when a game is seemingly over, as was last night’s Bruins/Habs game after Brian Gionta tallied this goal to put the Habs up 2-0 with about 3 minutes left in the 3rd, a child in his or her youthful ignorance will believe that their team will make some sort of miraculous comeback by having ninjas intervene or whatever imaginative crap kids think of to help them stave off the sad and sobering truth of reality.
