Lamar Odom somehow not worth the trouble for a team that...DALLAS—Though the Dallas Mavericks continue to employ Delonte West, a bi-polar shooting guard with an affinity for carrying firearms around in a guitar case, they have somehow decided that Lamar Odom was too much trouble and have severed ties with the veteran forward.

Odom said he accepted his fate, but was still somewhat confused on the Maverick’s double standard.

“If they want to get rid of me that’s fine. I know I haven’t lived up to my expectations. I know I have harmed the team chemistry. I know I can be difficult to handle at times. So I understand the move,” said Odom.

“What I don’t understand is how they can get rid of me but keep that guy,” added Odom as he pointed towards West, who was to preoccupied with holding a penguin and therefore could not comment on the story.
