NEW YORK — Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Pedro Martinez will receive a rousing welcome for Game 6 of the World Series Wednesday night. His arrival coincides with “Take Your Child to Yankee Stadium Day,” where New York Yankees players and staff are allowed to bring their child to game. The Yankees, being Pedro’s daddy, will welcome Martinez with a commemorative t-shirt and hat, game program, tour of the stadium, pictures with his favorite Yankee, and an hour to play in a kids only play structure. Martinez will also be allowed to pitch a few innings to the entire Yankees starting lineup in front of a full crowd and national television audience in an actual World Series game. Martinez is reportedly very excited, having trouble sleeping and calling all his friends to brag.
