Not much to celebrate in Ottawa these days. Having been systematically eliminated from the playoffs long ago due to the fact they’re the Senators, Ottawa was mathematically eliminated from this year’s chase for Lord Stanley’s Cup on Friday despite beating the Capitals 2-0 in the always hotly contested “Battle of Hockey Teams Who Play in a City That Also Happens to Be Their Respective Country’s Seat of Government.”

But don’t think that failure, the wholesale dismantling of their team, an assumed history of sexually related crimes, bad facial hair or the fact that Mike Commodore hasn’t played for Ottawa since 2008 is enough to dampen these two Sens fans’ spirits. Because goddamnit, they still have Rebecca Black’s “Friday” to help them dance away their pain, and I can't think of anyone more deserving of Rebecca Black than Senators fans.
