Stanley Cup MVP and Earl Grey enthusiast, Tim Thomas ruffled some political padding yesterday, declining the team's White House invitation, and claiming Obama's swag is "in direct opposition of the Constitution and the Founding Fathers' vision of the Federal Government." 

Got to hand it to the guy for sticking to his guns, it being his 2nd amendment right and all. The man stands up for his beliefs. Which is why Thomas is doubling down on his politics, and unveiling a series of Tea Party helmets he plans on sporting from the all-star break onward (allegedly, of course).
