Kids are hopeful by nature. Even when a game is seemingly over, as was last night’s Bruins/Habs game after Brian Gionta tallied this goal to put the Habs up 2-0 with about 3 minutes left in the 3rd, a child in his or her youthful ignorance will believe that their team will make some sort of miraculous comeback by having ninjas intervene or whatever imaginative crap kids think of to help them stave off the sad and sobering truth of reality.

But a Montreal fan thought such innocent disillusionment isn’t good for a child, which is why I’m sure he taunted the kid after Gionta’s goal, and not because he was probably drunk or a Canadiens fan [Read: Type of person boos the Star Spangled Banner and calls the cops on Zdeno Chara after his player gets hit].
